Borde Hill (with Hermes and Hex)

I had never been to Borde Hill, but it was certainly worth the drive. A very well run event in an amazing park.

I had Hermes in the Novice. And Hex was back after a knee injury at Knaptoft to do a final run for the year - so it was just a nice easy Intermediate Novice for him.

Both performed well in the dressage. However I was a little disappointed with Hex's mark - he was a little tense with the cross country next door. Hermes then had two down show jumping, which again was disappointing because they were both due to shying at people around the ring, so we had a quiet pop around the cross country and he was his usual bold self again.

Little Downham (with Hermes and Tom "Classic Diamond Charm")

The last event of the season!

Hermes did an amazing test. So I and all the onlookers thought ... but not the judge. 39.1. He has never had a mark that bad, which was very unfortunate, because we then had an unlucky pole and stormed around the cross country and still finished 10th.

Tom had his first outing. We did a 30 dressage... lots to work on there. Then a very good clear round show jumping, unfortunately we amassed seven time penalties. We then had a good clear round cross country, just trying to get to know each other and we still managed to get a rosette and finish 8th.
