Breaking News!

Classic Diamond Charm has been sold to South African rider Stuart Fitzgerald, who is based with Jane Holderness-Roddam. He had been going really well, but I pulled him out of Houghton CCI** as he had already been vetted.

....

Well it's been such a long time since I have done a report (sorry about that) that it's probably easier to tell you how each horse is going and also I have had some completely disastrous runs!

Jakata has been going amazingly. He had a bit of an upset in the SJ at Chatsworth after an amazing XC round. However, I was very ill and withdrew both Classic Diamond Charm and Sonic. Maybe that had something to do with it, as he then had a slow run at Little Downham which left him perfectly set up for his first 4* at Luhmuhlen.

Luhmuhlen CCI****, Germany

Luhmuhlen was amazing. We had a really great time. Jakata did a very reasonable test seeing as he didn't do very good changes and there are four of them, but it was mainly down to having last minute lessons with Lucinda Fredricks.

Then onto a very short XC! On the approach to fence 6 I lost my stirrup. How odd, I thought? Unfortunately, when I got to the other side I realised that my stirrup had actually snapped so I decided that eleven and a half minutes on one leg was just pushing it a bit.

One of the first people I saw afterwards was Matt Ryan who told me that exactly the same thing happened to him here last year. How bizarre!

I'm glad I went though and Danielle had a really good time moving from 47th to finish 17th and she now wants to become an international eventer due to the parties!

Sonic Boom has had quite an unfortunate time. After being kicked by Troy and missing Burnham Market CIC*** he then didn't come back in as I expected. After many withdrawals, blood tests and pads on feet and bar shoes, we seem to be back on track. He has had a couple of weeks off and my main short term aim is to take him to Gatcombe to do the Intermediate Championships.

Maybe Cavalier did an amazing XC at Brigstock and finished 11th (typical) in the OI. If I had been in any of the Intermediate sections, I would have been at worst 4th. However, at Little Downham he then behaved stupidly in the SJ and had 4 down. So I decided to withdraw him from the XC and also not to take him to Luhmuhlen. He will now be aimed for Hartpury CCI**.

Hex is back on flying form after a short break and has done a couple of DC's at ON and I will now aim him for a CCI* and then maybe try selling him again afterwards.

Hermes has also been going very well. He came 4th at Keysoe in the Novice and did his first Intermediate at Aston le Walls. He was also 10th at Great Tew.

French Touch is becoming more amazing with each run, but unfortunately he was given 2 stops at the water at Little Downham which was very expensive. But I'm pretty sure he is not far off a win.

Art Deco has been doing a few Intro's with Danielle, who has placed both times. He is going forward to Pre-Novice again.
